Notice of a Special Meeting of the Board of Directors / February 23, 2009 at 7 pm

There will be a special meeting of the Board of Directors on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2009 at 7 PM in the Skyline Room. The purpose of the special meeting is for the Board to consider and vote on the adoption of a special assessment in the amount of $667,000 for the following purposes:

paying past due vendor invoices
settlement of claim with TCE Technologies, Inc.
elevator repairs
air conditioning repairs
camera repairs
purchase of a pool chlorinator

If adopted, the special assessment will be due and payable in two equal installments on March 9, 2009 and March 23, 2009.

The Board of Directors will also be voting to fill the vacant Director’s position and elect a new Treasurer.

Please mark your calendar and be sure to attend this very important meeting. You will receive notice of this meeting in the mail.

Remote Controls for Gym TVs

AT&T has installed U-verse TV for the 4 gym televisions. The remote controls will be secured by the maintenance department this week, but in the meantime, if you have U-verse, you can bring down your own remote control and it may control the gym TV sets.

Reminder regarding TVs in the gym: As a rule as well as a courtesy to others in the gym, please watch TV on mute with closed captions, and turn off power when you are finished. Thank you for your cooperation.

2009 Maintenance Payments

Due to the late date of the budget adoption meeting this year, the coupons will be arriving too late to use for your January 2009 payment. Therefore, please see the attached chart to locate the correct amount of your 2009 maintenance payment.

In the event you have already submitted your payment, but used the amount of your 2008 payment, you can pay the difference shown in the attached chart by:
(a) check to the Skyline Management office
(b) a second electronic payment through KliknPay or through your own bank’s bill pay service.

Please make sure your January payment is received as soon as possible to avoid any late fees.

Water Shutoff, Monday December 22 10am to 3pm

ON THURSDAY, DECEMBER 11th 2008, SKYLINE ON BRICKELL CONDOMINIUM ASSOCIATION WILL HOLD ITS ANNUAL MEETING OF THE MEMBERSHIP. THIS MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE AT 7:00 P.M. IN THE SKYLINE ROOM ON THE 2ND FLOOR.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS MEETING IS TWOFOLD:

INTRODUCE THE NEW BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND HOLD THE ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING NECESSARY TO FILL THE OFFICER POSITIONS ON THE BOARD.
CONDUCT THE BUDGET ADOPTION MEETING AND HAVE THE MEMBERSHIP VOTE ON THE FUNDING OF RESERVES.

PLEASE BRING YOUR COMPLETED PROXY TO THE MANAGEMENT OFFICE PRIOR TO THE DECEMBER 11TH MEETING . Shopping Carts

SHOPPING CARTS

In an attempt to assist you with the chore of bringing in your groceries, and / or packages, luggage, etc. the Association has purchased six (6) new shopping carts. Two (2) of these carts will be placed on each of the garage levels so they will be easily accessible to all.

In order to prevent the shopping carts from disappearing, or aimlessly roaming the elevators, the carts will be locked in place (like the carts at the airport). You will need to stop by the Management office and purchase your $10 key card to unlock the shopping carts. This is a one time purchase that will entitle you to unlimited use of the carts.

You simply place your key card in the locking mechanism, which releases the cart and keeps your key card. Once you return the shopping cart to the same location where you retrieved it, you place the shopping cart back in place and the lock will release your card, returning it to you.

Please stop by the Management office to purchase your shopping cart key card.
